Come and Worship With Us
Our life together as a Christian community of faith is centered in worship.

We welcome you to all of our worship services and want you to feel comfortable worshiping with us. Generally, we kneel to pray; sit for the lessons, reading the psalm and the sermon; and stand to sing, and for the reading of the Gospel, but if you choose you can sit for the entire service. If you are confused by the service, the person sitting next to you will be glad to help out.

The Lord's Table
"This is the table, not of the Church, but of the Lord.
It is to be made ready for those who love him
and who want to love him more.
So, Come, you who have much faith,
and you who have little,
you who have been here often;
you who have not been for a long time,
you who have tried to follow
and you who have failed.
Come, not because it is we who invite you: it is our Lord.
It is His will that those who want Him should meet him here"

- from the Iona Community

Prayers before the service begins

The Holy Communion service, instituted by Jesus Christ at the last supper, includes offering and receiving the bread and wine, representing the body and blood of Jesus Christ. All are invited to receive Holy Communion at the altar rail either kneeling or standing. Hold out your hands to receive the bread and when offered the wine (we do not use grape juice) guide the cup to your lips. If you wish, you may dip your wafer in the wine and receive both together.
