A big thank you from Betty Kasson to all the people who made the Haiti presentation run so smoothly! To Fr. Jeff who invited a longer presentation on Haiti; to the Haiti committee who set up tables and provided all kinds of support; to the women headed by Alma Swiers who dived in to the kitchen and got all the food out; to everyone who brought the delicious potluck goodies; and especially to the tech support from Jim Kasson and Doug Pease. There would have been no pictures without them. And lastly to the Friends of the Carmel Valley Library who generously allowed us to use their computer projector one more time. BIBLE STUDY of the Book of Revelation will begin Sunday, September 7, at 9:05 a.m. in the Rector’s office. We will be using a study guide by The Rev. Paul A. Bartz that can be found and downloaded on the Internet. Read Chapter 1 and bring your Bible and notes.

WOMEN OF ST. DUNSTAN’S will be meeting on August 24th at the home of Jan and Rodger Langland from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Members, visitors, guests, and part-time residents are all invited. The book that will be discussed is Same Kind of Different as Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. The book may be purchased at Borders or ordered online from Amazon. Sign-up sheet and directions are in the Breezeway. Please bring wine, beverages of your choice, snacks or hors d’oeuvres to share.

STEWARDSHIP. Our year-round stewardship program is gathering together parishioners who are interested in helping to contact fellow parishioners after Commitment Sunday in November. There will be training in the fall for this most-important task. Those who are interested, please contact Jeff Jones at 659-8202.

COME SING with St. Dunstan’s Church choir! We are forming an adult and youth choir. We will sing twice a month. Rehearsals are the second and fourth Sundays at 8:30 a.m. Choir starts September 7th. A service with Lessons and Carols will be sung December 7th. The choir is directed by Robin McKee Williams and accompanied by Pam Lawrence. For more information, contact Robin McKee, 809-9112.
