Salad Tossing Can Be A Hands-On Experience

How about a hand-full of salad?

These popular, informal and somewhat unstructured get-togethers provide unhurried opportunities for Saint Dunstan’s families and guests to share a meal, which is usually followed by a short but interesting program.

“House and Garden Party”

The gardens and grounds of Saint Dunstan’s are maintained by “green thumb” volunteers assisted by a paid gardener. But twice a year the Vestry hosts a “House & Garden Party” (read “Work Day”) to freshen up the buildings and grounds.   Lunch, music and balloons make it a “party”.

Annual Parish Meetings

To make the Annual Parish Meeting and Dinner more interesting, but not interfere with the business at hand, Saint Dunstan’s has assigned a variety of themes to the evening get togethers, some of which involved costumes: “South of the Border” , “Cowboys and Ranchers” , and “Under The Big Top”.

“Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner?”

These friendly dinners, sponsored by The Women of Saint Dunstan’s, offer parishioners, particularly newcomers, the opportunity to get to know others they may not know well. The dinner hosts sign up to host and give the dinner, but do not know who has been invited (by the W. of St. D.) until the door bell rings, and those invited do not know who else has been invited.  It’s always fun.

Memorial Receptions

For many years, as personal gifts of love and compassion, women of the church have offered to grieving families lovely memorial receptions in the Guild Room following memorial or funeral services.
