Acolytes
Saint Dunstan’s children, teenagers and adults who assist the clergy during worship services are following in a tradition of Christian service established in the third century A.D. With pride and reverence they carry the cross and torches in procession, help with the presentation of the bread, wine and gifts of the people, and signal the end of the service by extinguishing the candles they lit to begin the service. They are unsung, but greatly appreciated
