Easter Sunday

Gospel: John 20:1-18

Easter Sunday holds immense significance in the Anglican/Episcopal Church, marking the joyous celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Easter Eucharist: The celebration of the Holy Communion, where the risen Christ is present among the faithful.

The arrangement of these elements has evolved over the centuries, but their purpose remains consistent: to proclaim the victory of life over death.

The Alleluia resounds frequently in liturgical prayers and songs.

White or gold vestments and decorations symbolize the brightness and triumph of the season.

Collect of the Day:
O God, who for our redemption gave your only-begotten Son to the death of the cross, and by his glorious resurrection delivered us from the power of our enemy: Grant us so to die daily to sin, that we may evermore live with him in the joy of his resurrection; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen
